What stays on your iPhone

• Your location never leaves your phone. If you allow it, Vakit reads your location once to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction on the device. Only the coordinates of the chosen place are saved on the device (shared with Vakit's own widget). They are never sent to us, to Google or to anyone else. You can instead pick a city from the built-in list.
• Prayer times, the Qibla, notifications, the prayer tracker (including any “special days” you mark), kaza counts and tasbih counts are calculated and stored only on your device. Vakit works offline. Background refresh only re-plans prayer notifications on the device and sends nothing anywhere; counting dhikr with Siri, Shortcuts, the Action button or Control Center also stays on the device.
• No account, no sign-up, no analytics of our own.

Ads (Google AdMob)

The free version shows one small banner ad on the Times screen, served by Google AdMob. Ads are requested as non-personalised and limited to content suitable for general audiences (rating G); there are no full-screen ads. Vakit does not ask for permission to track you (no App Tracking Transparency prompt) and Vakit never passes your location or any prayer data to the ad SDK. Like any ad network, Google's SDK receives technical data needed to deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud – for example your IP address (from which an approximate region can be inferred), device and app information, and ad interactions. Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's consent form, and can change their choice under Settings › Ad Privacy Choices. A one-time in-app purchase, "Remove Ads", removes the banner permanently. Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.
